The first step in the application review process is for you to prepare your K-1 fiance visa consular application. In most cases, this will include a DS-260 form, an affidavit of support package, civil documents, and the supporting documents for the application package.
Once you have your application ready to submit, you’ll scan your complete package and submit it to us through your Immigration Coach online account.
An Immigration Coach immigration lawyer will then do a detailed review or your complete application. We will then provide you with a detailed written report that provides our guidance and recommendations for your application.
A key goal of our review and feedback is to assist you in avoiding the common mistakes people encounter when preparing their K-1 fiance visa consular application.
Your next step will be to review your Immigration Coach’s comments and make any needed updates to your application package.
After you receive your detailed comments on your K-1 fiance visa consular application, you’ll be able to submit any questions you have about our comments.
You’re now ready to submit your application to the consulate. After you submit, you’ll still have access to your Immigration Coach to ask questions about the process as your case moves forward.
Our K-1 fiance visa consular application review service is designed to assist and guide you as you prepare and submit your K-1 fiance visa application. The application review service is ideal if you are comfortable preparing your own application but would like the added confidence of having an immigration lawyer review your application before you submit it to the consulate.
The application review service is limited to reviewing the application that you prepare on your own. It does not include in-depth legal analysis of your situation, our staff preparing your application or supporting documents, or our staff updating your application or making any needed updates. As a coaching service, we will provide you with guidance and information, but you’ll prepare and submit your application.
Our application review service is a coaching service and does not include in-depth legal analysis needed to address complex legal issues in a case.
The supporting documents for your case are important. But, you need to to avoid the "Checklist Comfort" trap of just checking items off on your supporting document checklist. It isn't enough for your documents to fall into a checklist category. The quality and details of each document are what matter. Viewing the supporting documents as a checklist exercise risks submitting documents that won't help win your case.
"Options Overlook" occurs when you focus on one immigration option and overlook the possibility that there may be other options that are better for your case. "Options Overlook" also occurs when you don't carefully examine whether you meet all of the requirements for your type of application. As a result, you may end up choosing a path that isn’t best for you or applying when you don’t qualify.
It is easy to fall into a "Timeline Trance" and focus on the timeline of your case and view the timeline as the most important aspect of your case. Unless your case involves a deadline, you should focus on the quality of your application. If you put speed first, you risk making errors or poor decisions about your case that could put your entire case in jeopardy. Winning your case should take priority over moving quickly.
Immigration forms are important. You can't win your case without completing the right forms correctly. But if you fall into the "Form Focus" trap and focus too much on the forms, you may overlook the importance of the supporting evidence needed to win your case. While the forms are important, you win your case mostly on the supporting evidence, not on the forms alone.
The interview is an important part of your case and it is easy to focus your entire case on what you’ll be asked at the interview. This "Interview Infatuation" can distract you from building a strong foundation for your case. Before you focus on the interview, you first need to build a strong foundation of solid forms and supporting evidence. A good foundation will make your interview much less challenging and stressful.
